Who Will Host the Oscars Next Year? It Ain't Gonna Be Logan...

Post by Patrick Hodges
According to, Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), who was a longshot to return as the host for the 2010 Academy Awards ceremonies, has now officially bowed out.
In addition to finding a new host, it seems they will also have two other big chairs to fill, as producer Larry Mark and director Bill Condon have will also not be returning.
Jackman is currently starring on Broadway with Daniel Craig in the drama A Steady Rain.  After that ends, he will reportedly take some time before returning to star in the Shawn Levy-directed drama The Real Steel, which will begin filming next spring.
As for who will don the tux for the 2010 Oscars (which air on March 7th), there is no official word.  However, there are rumors floating around that Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) might be offered the job.
Seriously?!  That's.... kind of awesome, actually.  Let's hope that scene from Harold and Kumar where we saw him in a speeding car snorting coke off of a hooker's bare butt doesn't come back to bite him...
