My apologies gentlemen, I checked before I went to bed last night and didn't see that post from Banks. My bad.

And I wish I had something more interesting to choose but alas I don't. So I'll pick The Strangers: Chapter 2. Just as much hype for these as for Costner's Horizon movies I'm sure.

Still think Lionsgate should have gone the Fear Street route with these, making a deal to release them on streaming one-a-week.

Alright, I'll make a bet I'm surprised no one made until now. Round 10, maybe it's now or never. The film was delayed from March, and it's probably gonna open in summer 2025. But, there's a slight chance it opens before, and in round 10, it's worth taking it.

I'll take Spider-Man Beyond the Spiderverse.

It got pushed to 2026 as work still needs to be done on the voice acting.

Wow, ballsy move. I'm going to do the opposite, take some moderate films.

Firstly, going to nab

Nickel Boys

And hope it's pushed hard for awards season.

And then I'm going to take

Flight Risk

Mel Gibson's next film as a director, with Wahlberg on board, might get it a theatrical release, but who knows.

Flight Risk sounds like the kind of movie Mel's been starring in lately.

I'll go with Conclave. It should be a player in the fall festival circuit and and awards season, it's got à hot director, strong cast and premise.

Surprised it took this long for Conclave to be picked. It could be a big Oscar contender if it's as good as All Quiet on the Western Front.

Beyond Spiderverse has been delayed without à New release date, so it could very well open in early 2025 or spring. Like I said, probably not, but in round 10, it's not à big risk.

I had one eye on Conclave, thinking it may fall to me. Don't expect it to mirror 'All Quiet' though. Why didn't you (boosh) join us for this anyways?

And even if the movie actually is good, the only people that likely end up seeing it are the QAnon people who want their Wolf of Wall Street.
Hey, their money is as green as anyones!

I considered both Spider-Verse and Flight Risk for my last pick. But I suspect Spider-Verse might take that June 27, 2025 date that Sony has bookmarked.

I think Wahlberg and Mel Gibson can bring in audiences, but I don't trust Lionsgate not to dump it for no reason in 200 theaters and quickly shuffle it to VOD.
